Zomi community in Texas, USA formed a local based community called "Zomi Innkuan, Texas" on November 22, 2007. Zomi around the world poured in message in support of Zomi Innkuan, Texas (USA). Pu Chin Do Kham, PhD - The President of Zomi Innkuan, USA sent  a congratulatory message on the formation of Zomi Innkuan-Texas follow by senior community leader such as Pu Hang Khan Lian of Singapore.

Pu Ngo Cin Thawng and Pu Dong Khan Khup of Zomi Innkuan, Washington DC area called on the formation of such community  based organizations in every states of USA and every country around the world. Zomi are a strong more 3 million population of ethnic minority in Myanmar, India and Bangladesh even though they have different names in respective countries they are. Some are converted to Judaism and known as Bnei Menaseh and settled in Israel. "We partner with and support the formation of local, regional and continental networks with our common identity  Zomi  no matter it is in North America, in Asia or Europe. We welcome and embrace them as an integral part of our development as global Zomi in this 21st century." said Pu Gin Mang of Zomi International Network. As political pressures  against ethnic Zomi in Myanmar continue, the global Zomi community dominated  by people from Myanmar of Zomi origin. Many Zomi in Malaysia, India and Thailand face a lot of problems as political refugees, and Zomi organizations from developed countries should lend their helping hands. In August 2007, the President of Zomi Innkuan, USA visited and meet with UNHCR official in Malaysia, and urged for it support for Zomi. With high expectation from their fellow Zomi abroad, the support from Zomi abroad doesn?t meet the need of Zomi refugees for their basic needs. Zomi around the world must be united and support those in need.

The formation of Zomi Innkuan across the states in USA is a beginning step indeed and they will be able to help better their brothers and sisters trapped in the third worlds when they are more organized.
